Leeds close to breaking even

Leeds owner Massimo Cellinio has claimed that the next set of accounts for the club will show it close to breaking even.  In the 2013/14, Leeds United recorded a loss of £23 miillion.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellinio has claimed that the next set of accounts for the club will show it close to breaking even.  In the 2013/14, Leeds United recorded a loss of £23 miillion.

Now back from the ban imposed by the Football League, Cellino held a rather unorthodox press conference yesterday described as the latest episode in the Whites soap opera.

Contrary to speculation that has intensified in recent months, he said that the club was not for sale.  He would sell it in two years if he had not made good his promise to return Premier League football to Elland Road,

Cellino is facing two more tax evasion charges in Italy next month, but said he would not worry about the implications of being found guilty.
