Ticket sales have always been the main source of revenue for the Easter Road side and the club has always been run on a tight ship on a turnover of £8m.   Moreover, the parachute payment for relegated clubs has been increased to £1m.   That is a fraction of what clubs get in the English Championship, but given that the fall in revenue following relegation is estimated at £1m, it is a real help.
