Coventry City fans have perhaps the most to complain about as their ‘home’ game will be staged in Northampton.   The identity of the club has been undermined and one texter was complaining on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire yesterday evening that with the city’s 50 metre swimming pool under threat, there was nothing left in the city.   An exaggeration, but you can see where he is coming from.

However, Cardiff City have had their identity undermined by a change from a blue to a red kit, the team traditionally being known as ‘Bluebirds’.   Owner Vincent Tan did get them up to the Premier League for one season, but his meddling saw them relegated.   With fans of other clubs, his name has become a byword for bad ownership.

Most Sky Blues fans will probably protest from outside Sixfields, but Cardiff fans will make their feelings known in the 35th minute of the game.   Good luck to two loyal sets of fans who have been hard done by.
