Conference side Darlington look as if they could go into administration for the third time in nine years.  Owner Raj Singh returned from a break in Dubai only to tell players not to bother turning up for training on Friday.

Conference side Darlington look as if they could go into administration for the third time in nine years.  Owner Raj Singh returned from a break in Dubai only to tell players not to bother turning up for training on Friday.

In November Singh handed players an ultimatum that unless they accepted much reduced wages he would kill the club.  Many of the Quakers squad have not been paid for two months and they have resorted to Twitter to criticise the chairman.   The club’s captain has sent an open letter to the chairman to the local paper.

Supporters’ Trust chairman Tony Taylor told The Non-League Paper, ‘The outlook looks pretty grim.  We are all in the dark.’

The Quakers have never really covered from an ill thought out move to a 25,000 capacity stadium in 2003 named after then chairman George Reynolds.
