Other clubs that he names as likely to be affected are Charlton Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday, although the latter may hope for a new owner who can bankroll player acquisitions.   Charlton’s strategy has been based on prudent spending anticipating the arrival of stringent FFP rules and the decision is a setback for them.
