‘Bosman’ style ruling on financial fair play?

A challenge to Uefa’s financial fair play rules has now reached the European Union’s Court of First Instance.   However, given that legal wheels grind slowly, all that is happening is the establishment of a schedule for a hearing.

Brought by an Italian football agent, there has been speculation that this case might lead to a ruling on financial fair play equivalent to the Bosman ruling.   Whether this particular case will be the deal breaker remains to be seen, but I am sure that sports lawyers are going to have a lot of business over the next few years dealing with such cases.
