Notes:

The club was founded in 1872 and plays at the Racecourse Ground (capacity 15,500). In May 2004 the chairman, Alex Hamilton, who owned 78% of the club's shares, gave the club a years' notice to quit the ground. In December 2004 the club was placed in financial administration (it owed £2,600,000, including £800,000 to the Inland Revenue) and Wrexham became the first League club to suffer the ten-point deduction rule for being placed in administration. In October 2005, Birmingham High Court decided that Mr Hamilton's company CrucialMove had improperly acquired the freehold of the ground. Mr Hamilton then took this to the Appeal Court in London but it ruled in March 2006 that the stadium must remain in the hands of the club's administrators. In May 2006 the administrators reached an agreement with shareholders and creditors for businessman Neville Dickens to take over the club. Wrexham Football Club (2006) Ltd is the name of the 'phoenix' company that took over the assets.

Turnover and pre-tax profit figures are in millions.
