"If you want some accessible but informative insight into football then I suggest you couldn't do better than the Political Economy of Football website, which is not only intelligible but comes with the added bonus of being written by Addicks fan Wyn Grant."

Which clubs have sold all their season tickets?

Five Premiership clubs have sold all their season tickets: Arsenal, Blackpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Spurs.   The London clubs have managed this despite having some of the highest prices in the country, while Blackpool have seen promotion rewarded with a 140 per cent increase in sales.

However, the much vaunted Manchester United season ticket waiting list appears to have evaporated.  This could be anti-Glazer feeling or it could reflect the economic situation, probably a bit of both.
