Sky Blues deal could still be done

The administrator of one of the Coventry City companies has said that it would still be possible for a deal to be done between the owners and the Ricoh Arena during the liquidation process which could take up to a year.    The club could then return from exile and low attendances in Northampton to the stadium purpose built for them.

They could agree a Company Voluntary Arrangement and it is even possible that the club’s ten points deduction could be reversed.    This would place the Sky Blues in the play off positions, but such a concession by the Football League, although possible given discretion in their rules, seems unlikely.

The real obstacle is not what is legally possible but whether Sisu/Otium can be persuaded to abandon their ill conceived stance.   Perhaps they still think that the Ricoh will eventually go into adminstration and would then be available for sale at a knockdown price.
