Salisbury City fights on

Salisbury City has been expelled from the Football Conference.  However, efforts continue to be made to save the club with a window of opportunity provided by the 14 days in which an appeal can be made to the Football Association against the expulsion decision.   Other clubs are to be concerned about the financial implications if the Conference South runs with 21 clubs.

Ex-owner William Harrison-Allan has become involved in efforts to save the club.   Majority shareholder Otail Touzar has reportedly try to sell the club to Harrison-Allan or to Mike Winter, who has a two per cent shareholding, for £100,000.   He also wants to remain as chairman for six months and taking 35 per cent of any commercial revenue and of the sale of the ground which the club not own anyway.
