Rushden and Diamonds FC Ltd

The club was formed at the end of the 1991/92 season following a merger between Rushden Town FC (Southern League) and Irthlingborough Diamonds FC (United Counties League). This merger was largely brought about by Max Griggs, a local businessman, who had initially been approached concerning a possible sponsorship of Rushden Town FC. The club are now based at the original Irthlingborough Diamonds ground, Nene Park. In the summer of 2005, Max Griggs handed over the club and certain assets to a supporters’ trust, along with an initial cash pledge.
