Robins win in Court of Appeal

Swindon Town has won a case in the Court of Appeal against former club advisor and shareholder Michael Diamandis.   The case originally arose from Swindon Town going into administration in 2008.   Mr Diamandis brought a winding up order against the company in the High Court last year, arguing that it owed him nearly £250,000.

The High Court found in his favour, but Lord Neuberg ruled in the Court of Appeal that there was a 'strong case' for saying that the agreement to pay Diamandis was with the Seton famuly and not the company.   He also ordered Mr Diamandis to pay 70 per cent of the costs.
