"If you want some accessible but informative insight into football then I suggest you couldn't do better than the Political Economy of Football website, which is not only intelligible but comes with the added bonus of being written by Addicks fan Wyn Grant."

No buyer found for Palace

After three months no buyer has emerged for Crystal Palace and the club's position is increasingly perilous as the season draws to a close.   In a sense, it is no surprise that Palace have not find a buyer.  There are a number of clubs available for purchase and fewer buyers out there than there were.   The club does not own the ground and it operates in a relatively crowded London football market.  Admittedly, all the Premiership sides are north of the river but it would need deep pockets to bring Palace up to that level.

A groundshare is mentioned as one option, but there is not a suitable ground within easy travelling distance, particularly along busy London roads.   Moreover, most of the costs that a club incurs are its wage bill.

No Buyer Found for Palace

Don't believe everything you read in The Mirror!

A consortium called CPFC2010 are currently in negotiations with the administrators of both the club and Selhurst Park about a purchase.  They have "Preferred Bidder Status" as far as the club is concerned, meaning presumably that the administrators aren't currently entertaining any new bids.  Palace fans are waiting with collective baited breaths for news but to say that there are "no bidders" at all is a little misleading.
