New offer for Pompey

PKF, the administrators of Portsmouth FC, have confirmed that they have received a new offer for the club. If the offer succeeds, it will mean the end of the attempt by Pompey Supporters' Trust (PST) to secure control of the club.    Portsmouth would have been the first former Premier League club to be run by a fans' trust.

The offer has been made by Keith Harris, a former chairman of the Football League, together with Pascal Najadi, deputy chairman of the investment bank AIAK Group, and Alan Hitchins, who is described as a professional investor.    AIAK is a banking finance house based in Kuala Lumpur. Keith Harris has indicated that he would like to meet with PST to discuss a stakeholding and participation in the club for them.

Mr Harris is chairman of the holding company of City broker Seymour Pierce which has encountered financial challenges recently and looks likely to be acquired by New York brokerage Cantor Fitzgerald. High-profile football deals netted lucrative fees that helped Seymour Pierce to partially offset declining business on turbulent markets and earned Mr Harris, a former HSBC banker, the City moniker of 'Mr Football'.   He was involved in the Red Knights consortium that attempted to take over Manchester United in 2010.

Trevor Birch, PKF partner and joint administrator of the club, said, 'We believe this offer is worthy of consideration and could be completed without a court case.   As officers of the Court, the administrators are charged with securing the best return for all creditors and therefore have to consider the offer.   This has been a complex administration and we are doing all we can to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.'

It is understood that the prospective owners would lease Fratton Park from Balram Chainrai's Portpin vehicle in the short run, but would seek to purchase it before too long.

Keith Harris has in effect agreed a deal with Chainrai which means that the administrators cannot go to the court and argue that PST are the only bidders,  It has been suggested that there are links between Harris and Chainrai, but Harris has denied that there is any formal connection.

It is evident that the new bid would offer a bigger return to creditors.   It would require Football League approval, but it is difficult to see grounds for withholding that.    However, PST argue that their bid would be best for Portsmouth's future and would break all links with previous regimes.

Three Harris White Knight Bid = The only win-win for Pompey (!)

Common Sense must now prevail - No time left for Football League rigmaroles, with due respect !

Because, see, please read carefully dear honrable elected board members of the respected eclectic  listen up FL, when then in three momths that horse is lying flat out sideways, legs streched  and confirmed dead in front of the Portsmouth Pharmacy......you, exactly you the honrable Football League start to rotate your pointing fingers a bit like a navy radar spinning its beam and you will all say nd in concert:. Oh.Noo.(Oxbridge accent of course)...we did not mean it that way....ohh sorry...

The above scenario is NOT an option and it saves you grand emabrassement and a political scandal, suicide, so here is what is the common sense plea:

FACTS: Keith Harris without any doubt the Number 1, ONE Football big deal maker, leader and banker expert with a passion for the sport. His backers Pascal Najadi, Swiss Investor, like Harris, also been many years in the City, a Investment banker  one of the former Directors with Britains then one of the few most distinguished international investment banks namely Kleinwort Benson Ltd. and last but not least Alan Hitchins esq a wealthy qualified investor as well. The three gentlemen united for one cause have readied not only their combined ionernational and truly global power relationships networks, but first of all they mounted a powerful treasury with ample money at their disposal.  And, threre is much more to that.

Their presence, their action, investment and strong leadership stemming from know how and competence bringsthe much overdue and now needed stability and credibility to Porthsmouth FC. It alllows the players focus to be on scoring gals to cheer their fans and supporters. They all will be able to bring back the glory, the pride to the club, the fans, the supporters, to advance the Club, the City of Portsmouth and last but not least make proud our HRM The Royal Navy and Great Britain wih its second to none Great Football heritage as a whole.

Because, Pompey belongs up there, with top players, new matches to win with many goals scored, back up there, where they belong, back up to the Premier League, right back upo there! And who said they one day can not become the Eruopean Champion only to be topped by the World Champion title? And. who says this is not possible? It indeed is possible! So let us permit the three men to do what they said they will do.

A humble Red Card held out here to the Gentlemen at the Football League. It is so embarrassing what you have brought to the ligfht of the day with your bockage that  one only can whisper a word of humble appeal into your wonderful god created ears:.,..... Please and for heavens sake step back and  have some common sense take over your thoughts, please do apply a soup spoon full of  foresight and use Binoculars if need be and a stiff drink to see the future hinging on a hair, not even a she string, an impasse that you brought about with your rigmarole of the recent few days.

In contrast to your FL rigmaroles. the Administrators on their part have only  done their job and this duly by the book by accepting the Harris & Co bid and to make this public asap. Because by the laws of England, they have to secure the best commercial value, bid, for the creditors, period.

Now in conclusion one would hope to wish, please let the three white knights, Harris, Najadi and Hithchins get on with it, with their plan their promise, with their moneys readid a their risk to refurbish, invigorate and  propell Pompey in to the winner future it deserves.

Gentlemen, Messrs Harris, Najadi and Hithchins, we  thank you indeed for turning up at the right moment with plenty of gunpowder dry and a battle plan at the helm of the battleshiop, properly laid out. We thank you for taking up this challenge and doping this grand effort to bring Porthsmouth FC back to its glory up there where it always belonged and shall be for another hundred years and more to come.

Our Portsmouth FC has now a real thorough chance to stand up again and to once more become the pride of all and English Football as a patriotic deed. The future for Pompey does not stop here, it continues right through thrusting forward with a vengeance hopefully very soon indeed with the Harris & Co bid deblocked by the HON Football League herself, the bid being then secured and confirmed as the winning bidder. Because, Ladies & Gentlemen, on this one failure is not an option ! (i am saying this wiht a respectful wink towards our beloved hero, the late Sir Winston with fingers shaping the iconic V for Victory !

UK&GB Citizen P. Scrivener-Henry esq, & a believer in our great Porthsmouth Football Club.

.....Long live Pompey !
