The club was founded as Millwall "Rovers" in 1885. Company shares are traded on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) - since August 2001. Important shareholders as at April 2006: Lonestar Partners: 10.9%, Theo Paphitis (Non-Executive director): 7.50%, Peter Mead: 0.7%.
Home matches are played at The New Den (Capacity: 20,146).
