Glazers take £6m in management fees
The Glazer family, the owners of Manchester United, were paid £6m in 'management fees' last season. The payments were revealed as part of Red Football's commitment to full disclosure under the terms of the financial bond they issued last year.
Turnover was £334.1m in the year to 30 June 2011, up from £286.4m in 2010. Operating profit increased from £101.2m to £110.9m. Commercial revenue at £103.4m is more than the income of most clubs in the Premier League. Its share of total revenues increased from just over a quarter to approaching one third, demonstrating the success of the club's strategy to grow these revenues.
The importance of Champions League revenues is demonstrated by their contribution of £176m, made up of £128m in match day receipts (up from £107m) and media revenues of £46m (up from £40.8m).
