Former Argyle directors pull out

Affinity Sports Finance, a group associated with Argyle directors Sir Roy Gardner and Keith Todd, has pulled out of the bidding for the stricken League 1 club now in administration.  It would appear that they could not raise the required funding in the short period of time it needs to be secured.  Each potential buyer has been asked to provide a six figure sum up in front to ensure exclusivity in the bidding process.

The preferred bid of administrator Brendan Gulfoyle is thought to be that of James Brent who has a background in property and hotels.
