The club was originally formed in 1909 as Dundee Hibernian FC and changed its name to Dundee United FC in 1923. Home games are played at Tannadice Park which has a capacity of 14,209. Unusually, the stadium is on the same road as Dens Park - the home of city rivals Dundee F.C.
