The club was founded in 1889 and plays home games at Griffin Park (capacity: 12,763), their home stadium since 1904. Brentford's most successful spell came during the 1930s, achieving consecutive top six finishes in the top division. Since the War, they have spent most of their time in the third and fourth tiers of English League football.
