Luton Into Administraion Again - 25/11/2007

League 1 club Luton Town has incurred a ten point penalty by going into administration. Recently the FA levelled 55 charges against the club, former and present officials and six agents regarding alleged improper payments. The administrators are looking for prospective buyers to put proposals to creditors by the end of December. In order for the club to continue trading in the short term, chairman David Pinkney has agreed to fund losses until the club is sold. The former top flight club has always been constrained by its cramped ground, but efforts to find grounds nearer to the M1 motorway have come to nothing.
