Preston Set To Complete Stadium - 31/01/2007

If you visit the National Football Museum at Deepdale, you can take a look at Preston's stadium and see that it has been modernised only on three sides. Now Preston, the 'nearly men' of Coca Cola Championship promption races in recent years, are set to complete their stadium. A health centre known as the Long Term Conditions Centre is to cover more than 2,000 metres on two floors. It will bring together health centres and clinics which have been located across Preston, thus showing how a modern football stadium can be effectively used during the week, justifying the capital expenditure that is required. It is hoped that the East Stand will be completed in the 2007-8 season. It will increase the capacity at Deepdale to 24,000 and include new corporate box facilities, executive lounges and Press facilities as well as much needed significant additional parking.
