QPR Get Cash Injection - 16/10/2004 |
|
|
Queen's Park Rangers have made a good start on their return to Division 1 and their financial position has been boosted by two deals. A second Monaco-based consortium has agreed to invest £1.1m in the club. Financial and banking consortium Wanlock will buy the new shares that had been earmarked for the club's other recently acquired Monaco-based backer Barnaby Holdings. It is understood that Barnaby is ready to take up former chairman Chris Wright's 10 per cent stake in the club which could be worth £650,000. QPR have been through bad times financially, including a period in administration, but it looks as if things are looking up on and off the pitch for the 'Super Hoops'. |
