Spurs Profits Fall - 10/10/2004

The poor performance by Tottenham Hotspur on the pitch last season has been reflected in a 12 per cent fall in operating profit before player trading and flat turnover in the year ended 30 June. Opetating profit fell from £11m to £9.7m on a static turnover of £66.3m. Pre-tax losses were, however, reduced from £7.1m to £2.5m. Media revenues and merchandise sales fell. If the good start to the season can be maintained, then better figures should be possible this year.
