US entrepreneur Malcolm Glazer has increased his stake in Manchester United by paying about £5.9m for less than a further one per cent stake in the club. The purchase increases his stake from 18.25 per cent to 19.17 per cent. He is thought to have been taking advantage of the drift in the club's share price since the somewhat disappointing end to the season.
