Entrepreneur Steve Morgan has pulled out of a £70m investment offer to Liverpool, letting it be known that he has 'lost patience' with the club's board. The club's reaction was relatively relaxed, suggesting that progress is being made with the American L4 consortium. This was set up by Hollywood executives Stuart Ford and Mike Jefferies and has the backing of the wealthy Kraft family, owners of the New England Patriots American football franchise. It is thought that an effort is being made to get Kenny Dalglish on board. However, don't expect an early decision as it may take a while for chairman David Moores to decide whether to dilute his 51.46% shareholding and give up the chairmanship.
